It honestly comes down to the quality of the LED light. Most commercial growers still rely on HID systems but slowly more and more are switching over to LED. Quality LED lighting systems definitely have a bunch of benefits when compared to HID lighting. Firstly, you can achieve a spectrum that is similar to HID bulbs. Secondly, you can produce the same if not more yield while using less energy and heat.

This will vary depending on the type of plant and the stage they are at. Just like measuring hydro, we can measure the amount of light at any given point. A new grower might think that the brighter the light looks (high lumens) the better it is for their plants. What growers actually need to measure is the Photo-synthetically Active Radiation (PAR). Photons inside the PAR wavelengths is the main driver of photosynthesis. There are two measurements of PAR: PPF (all protons) & PPDF (protons on a given point). As a general guideline for growing cannabis for maximum yields, you need 100 – 300 PPFD for seedling, 350 – 600 PPFD for the vegging stage, and 600 – 1000 PPFD for flowering. So, if you need agriculture LED grow lights online for sale from LUMAGRO, then feel free to contact us for guidance.

When it comes to choosing which HID system to go with, the height of your grow space is the most important factor. If the ceiling is too low and the light wattage is too high you will end up burning your plants from both the heat and the photons released from the light.
Here is a general rule of thumb to follow:
9' - 10' Ceilings: 1000W DE System
8' - 9' Ceilings: 750W DE System
7' - 8' Ceilings: 600W DE System

Double Ended HPS technology has been making headlines by producing most evident plant growth as compared to other alternatives. It is a unique lamp technology that has paved a new path for horticulturists for better quality and yields. Double ended grow lights have a positive impact on all plants these are installed around. These lights have a strong edge over the slow, single-ended bulbs that made use of high pressure sodium lights. It is a proven fact that even after 10, 000 hours of working, the double-ended lights are capable of giving 90 percent of their initial output unlike their single ended counterparts. DE lamps also emit more ultraviolet and infrared light than traditional SE bulbs, which increases potency and essential oil production in plants.
It is also proven that double ended lights are more stable which allows them to have a 10% - 30% increase in light intensity and PAR.

It is a process of different grow equipment in Canada being used to cultivate plants in an indoor setting.
Dehumidifiers operate by:
- Drawing in damp air into the unit
- Cooling it down with a condenser to remove the moisture from the air. The moisture removed will then collect in a reservoir inside the dehumidifier or pump into a drain.
- Recirculating the dry, dehumidified air back into your environment with its fan.
Humidity can be the greatest enemy for your plant, especially when you are growing them inside your home. With excess moisture, the chances of the growth of many bacteria, fungi, molds, and many similar pests increases, which will not only harm your plant but it can also lead to many health issues for you when you consume those plants. With a dehumidifier, the humidity level of the space is easily maintained and thus increases the life of your plant.
The ideal humidity level for inside your home is between 45% - 50%. Anything about RH 50% can create an environment for mold, bacteria, dust mites, and even harmful pests. Anything below RH 30% can create an environment that will increase cold & flu viruses, irritated skin, itchy throat, and many more issues.
Humidity is very important to your plants. Humidity will help determine your plants resilience against mold/mildew and how much your plants need to drink. Getting your humidity dialed in correctly will improve your plant growth and yields. When the humidity is too high, cannabis plants will use their leaves to absorb moisture from the air which will cause them to drink less water from their roots. When the humidity is too low, they will pull more water in through their roots. During different growth stages you will need to adjust your humidity levels accordingly:
1. Clones
- Optimal humidity is 65-70%.
- Clones depend on getting water intake through their leaves from the moisture in the air which is why high humidity is needed.
2. Vegetative Stage
- Optimal humidity is 40-60%.
- Seedlings and young cannabis plants can sometimes grow foliage at a faster pace then their roots in this stage. Until your plant has fully developed roots medium humidity levels should be maintained especially in the first few weeks.
3. Flowering Stage
- Optimal humidity is 40-50%.
- At the beginning of this stage, your plants will already have created a root system to manage their water needs. They still are able to intake water through their leaves, but maintaining a lower lever of humidity will help prevent mildew or mold.
Besides using it for indoor growing environments, our portable commercial dehumidifiers can be used in multiple applications, the most popular one being water damage restoration.
